Skateboarders find newborn girl alive in Queens garbage bin

Police say two boys skateboarding in the freezing temperatures heard the baby crying and discovered her wrapped in a blanket and a paper bag.
One of the boys was 15-year-old Christopher Moncada (mon-CAH’-dah). He says he couldn’t believe it when he opened the bag and the baby girl raised her hands. He called for an ambulance and told police.
The girl is believed to be only hours old. She’s in stable condition at a hospital. Read more
